Julian Deguzman

Julian DeGuzman was born on 4/13/01 in New York City. He started training and dancing at the age of 7. He has since appeared in numerous television shows including, Jennifer Lopez’s “World Of Dance”, “Saturday Night Live along side Pharrell, the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon & Will.i.am, “America’s Best Dance Crew-Season 7, Paula Abdul's "Live to Dance", the Rockefeller Xmas tree lighting with Mariah Carey, and most recently with Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey. He's also appeared on commercials for Macy’s, TARGET, the Gap and Chuckie Cheese just to name a few.

Josh Price

Josh Price has danced with many musical artists including Portugal The Man, Chris Brown, Ciara, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson and T-Pain. He has also performed at award shows such as the 1st Annual YouTube Awards and Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Sports. He has had the opportunity to dance at the famous Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY as well as at the White House where he met former President Barack Obama. He appeared in the remake feature film Annie starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz as well as numerous TV shows including Nickelodeon’s School of Rock, The Ellen Show, So You Think You Can Dance, and NBC’s World of Dance as a member of the Upper Division Championship Team S-Rank.

Bella Maisonet

Bella Maisonet was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA where she began her dance training at the age of three. Bella holds numerous scholarships and assistant positions from her time spent at conventions. Bella recently just came off tour with the renowned convention DanceMakers Inc. where she was named collective on their Trust the Journey tour under mentorship of Kathryn McCormick, Brooke Paulsen-Zelus, Dejan Tubic, Seth Zibalese, and many more. Bella was named Miss Dance of the Untied States 2017 under United States Tournament of Dance where she was able to tour, teach master classes, and fund her charity B Found. Bella was accepted into Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester for her concentrations in Contemporary and Street Jazz where she currently trains full time.

One of our missions at The New Wave is to break down barriers between dancers and choreographers and provide a forum for new ideas. Our brand new fan experiences allow you to spend time with our artists in a fun environment, network, and form lifelong bonds. Whether its an arcade in Orlando or an escape room in Atlanta, there is an experience out there for you. Observer Wristbands

A limited number of Observer Wristbands will be made available for a purchase price of $20.00 and may only be purchased at the event. The number of Observer Wristbands sold will be determined by event personnel to ensure the safety of participants and the quality of the classes. Observer Wristbands will be sold at the Concession Booth on a “first come first serve basis.” Observer Wristbands will not be available at the Check-In table. Observer Wristbands are Non-Refundable and may not be transferred from one person to another. The New Wave will not be held responsible for lost or stolen wristbands. Excessive talking, cell phone use, videotaping, and or otherwise disruptive behavior will result in the observer being escorted out by event personnel as to maintain a proper atmosphere for participants to learn and artist to conduct class.

Participant Experience/Eligability

“The New Wave” is open to all levels of dance experience; including beginners and prior dance education and/or Hip Hop experience is not required. There is no age limit and dancers should be in good health prior to registering.


All registrations are NON-REFUNDABLE unless the event is otherwise cancelled by the producers at which time a full refund will be issued as a credit back to the credit card from which it was charged.

Walk-in Late Registration

“Walk-In” and Late Rate Registration will be accepted on a given convention date providing the event has not been “Sold Out,” and will still be subject to availability on the convention date. Additionally, Walk-In registrants will be charged the late rate of $130.

Checking IN

Participants should arrive at check-in time as posted on their respective schedule to allow ample time for “Warm Up.” The Check-In table will be divided evenly into two lines based on the first letter of the participant’s last name (A-M and N-Z). Upon Check-In, participants will receive a packet containing a color-coded wristband and complimentary autograph card. Once checked in, participants will proceed directly to the event room for “Warm Up.” All participants and/or Parent or Guardian (for those participants under the age of a 18) will be required to sign a participation waiver at check-in.

What to wear

Participants should wear apparel that is comfortable and loose fitting such as sweatpants and t-shirt with sneakers. There is no requirement on what to wear, however, as the event is a “family friendly” atmosphere, participants are expected to dress appropriately.

Participant Wristband Policy

Participants will be required to wear event wristbands for the duration of the convention and respective age division. If a participant should lose or remove their wristband The New Wave will require full repayment tore-enter convention room, no refunds, no exceptions.

Food and Beverage Policy

Participants are encouraged to bring water and light snacks. There will also be water stations provided in the convention room.

Cancellation Policy

Event producers reserve the right to cancel the event for any reason. Should event producers cancel the event a full refund shall be issued in the form of a credit to the credit card used for registration.

Change of Venue

Event Producers reserve the right to change venue locations due to any potential unseen circumstances.
